Match the app to the platform
An iPhone app is not automatically available on Apple TV. Confirm the platform, operating-system version and player support before buying an app licence.
Install from the official source
Use the appropriate App Store or publisher route. The subscription supplies access; a third-party app purchase alone does not include this channel service.
Try more than a single stream
Check a live channel, subtitles and on-demand playback. If you intend to cast or use AirPlay, test that exact route rather than assuming it follows from playback on the phone.
Watch your connection allowance
A phone stream and a television stream can use separate connections. Close playback sessions you are no longer using and select the allowance your household needs.
